What is St. Mary’s School Foundation?
OUR MISSION
Founded in 1982, St. Mary’s Foundation exists to assist St. Mary’s School’s yearly budget by overseeing a perpetual endowment fund that is locally managed. Interest from this fund (up to 5%) is provided to the school to assist with its yearly budgetary process.
The goal is that Foundation, when it meets its goal, will have enough in its corpus to support all families attending the school, reduce tuition, and enable more families to receive a Catholic Education.
OUR PURPOSE
St. Mary’s School Foundation oversees a perpetual endowment fund (501 3c) under the State of Idaho. It was established in 1982 to assist the school with its yearly budget by providing interest earned (5%) on invested (local ) funds.
Our goal is to provide long-term financial support that will provide needed assistance to the school’s operating budget. Thanks to your generosity, donations give added tax benefits to our donors depending on their individual tax situations.
OUR HISTORY
In 1982 St. Mary’s School Foundation was the dream of the school board and five parishioners who became the founding board members. The foundation began with donations of $30, 000 the first year.
Thanks to wise investing, the corpus has grown to $2,000,000. Our goal in the next few years is $5,000,000. Each year the Foundation gives an annual interest payment to support the school
